Land of Runes has several continents, but all of life was concentrated in the largest continent Valoran of  DotA 2. Valoran continent lies in the heart of Land of Runes as one of the largest mainland of Land of Runes.

In fact, in many cultures,Valoran and Land of Runes these two terms are inter changeabe. Other mainlands in DotA 2 also have magical energy accumulation, but as to easily using of magical energy,there’s no place can compete to Valoran. All powers that seek rune hegemonic power focus on Valoran.
